Say bonjour to Pierre, long-time lover of Jacques Solovière and dear friend of Alexia.
Born and raised in Paris, something drew him to New York. It wasn't work or simply change cities, it was something a little more personal. "Love brought me here,” he explains, having followed his then-girlfriend shortly after graduating from art school.
Over time, New York became home and a place that Pierre developed his tastes. When asked what defines good taste for him, he talked more about an attitude than aesthetics. “I’m not sure about good taste, but listening more than you talk is a good start.”
His connection to Jacques Solovière was born when the brand was. Being a long time friend of Alexia, he has been able to see the brand grow over the past 15 years, and his pairs have become wardrobe staples. His first pair was the classic Hervé Sneaker; now, his collection has grown to about 10 different pairs, including
Slim Black,
Lex Raffia, and
Edouard Black. Among is curated selection, the
Rasmus and the
Tommy Lug in hairy calf remain his favorites.
When asked to associate his pairs with a song, he chose A Love Supreme by John Coltrane, something that is "timeless, elegant, but with a certain roughness."
He is always testing new spots in New York, but his tried and true is Eagle Street Rooftop Farm and where he'd bring you to support Greenpoints local farmers and get fresh produce.
For Pierre, what feels timeless is simple: music. He loves making playlists because they have the ability to bring together different eras, different memories, and still create the same sense of joy. And in everyday life, it’s often the simplest moments that matter most like "an apéritif in the sun with friends." There is nothing more Parisian!

Seeing Pierre in his New York element, wearing his Jacques Solovière, brought us right back to Paris.
